Now we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands.
Welcome to the Holy Trinity website for Project 350.
Introduction
For over six hundred years, wind, rain and the elements have attacked the stonework of Holy Trinity Church. Leaving the tower and windows worn and weather-beaten.
The tower already has loose stonework and soon it will become unsafe.
This landmark, visible for miles around would before long be lost.
Why Now?
Some while ago £30,000 was expended to restore one structurally compromised window. It is now clear that further renovations will be required, if the church is to survive, and to be passed on to future generations. We need to act now to prevent the damage to this precious house of prayer and 600 year old Grade II* listed building becoming critical and so much more difficult and expensive to restore.
Holy Trinity is central to Rayleigh and is part of our shared heritage. This work is essential if we wish to pass on this historical landmark to our future generations.
